I'd put an offical label on it and maybe some paper to surround the money/vouchers. Any tips?Do you reckon it's safe to send money/gift vouchers through the post?
I send money orders through the mail all the time. I just fold it in two pieces of paper so you can't see it through them, you can with one sheet.Do you reckon it's safe to send money/gift vouchers through the post?
The best way to send money/vouchers in the post is by special or recorded delivery that way the person has to sign for the package and you will know that they have received it safely.
gift vouchers should be treated as a cash equivalent, so i wouldn`t sent either unless you send them recorded or special delivery. Its worth spending a little extra on the postage.
Depends on the value, recorded delivery might be safer but it's more expensive
Recorded delivery is for items up to 拢35 (IIRC)
It costs an extra 70p on top of normal postage
Most postman are honest, and the chances that you will get 1) a dishonest guy who 2) takes an interest in your particular letter and 3) has an opportunity to take it, are pretty low
You have to ask yourself; is it worth the extra 70 p
Hi - Ive been doing this for years and not once had anything go astray.
Ah bugger it, now Ive jinxed it havent I?! Lol. Seriously tho, Ive never had any probs but if youre worried then Recorded or Special Delivery might be your best bet :D
I would never send money via regular mail.....although my mum does but, I tell her she's mad, lol...
I would 100% send it Recorded Delivery but, then again I send everything Recorded!
For the sake of a 拢1.00 (approx) Its well worth it.....I have NEVER had anything go astray with Recorded Delivery!
I think it's safe. But if it was a lot I'd send it recorded for peace of mind.
Don't send money. If gift vouchers get lost at least the shop will have some record that you did buy them. Put them in the middle of a card or a couple of sheets of paper.
