Re: Vermont: Pick any of your favoured hotel and motel chains and check at their internet sites if they have locations. Better, however, would be to review listings of VT country inns and pick from those with websites or association web listings in the geographic area you wish to be (but not in the most touristy spots like Stowe and Killington). It's almost impossible to find one that is not wonderful.
Re: Quebec: do you mean the city or the province? All of the world's fine hotel chains have luxury and semi-luxury hotels in Montreal and many also in Quebec City. Plus there are Canadian chains of exceptional hotels like Delta.
