Do you think it is too impersonal to give gift vouchers instead of presents for christmas or b'days?

i would rather a voucher than a gift i have no use for or dislike. what are your thoughts?Do you think it is too impersonal to give gift vouchers instead of presents for christmas or b'days?
I totally agree!! There are so may unique ways to present the voucher too, interesting packaging geared to the voucher or certificate or even just something that would appeal to their aesthetics! individualizing the gift voucher specifically to that person shows that you pay attention to what interests them.Often getting a gift voucher is great because usually it's something they wouldn't normally treat themselves too. Hope this helps.Do you think it is too impersonal to give gift vouchers instead of presents for christmas or b'days?
They're great. Put them in a nice card. Our family started doing this a couple of years ago at the kids request. We adults learned that we like it too! No returns or hurt feelings.
i think gift vouchers are a great idea, and you know you wont buy the wrong gift
sometimes sometimes not. That would depend on who the gift is for. My husband and kids I'd rather give a gift I know they really want. I enjoy that moment they unwrap the gift and find exactly what they wanted. That moment makes it all worth it.
Gift certificates are great. Those that are given a gift certificate get to choose what they want. It also gives them a chance to get out just for themselves.

Think kids/teens would get a kick out of being able to choose there own gift and use it when they see fit.
gift vouchers are good.

as long as you pick a place you know the person shops theres no way anyoone can go wrong
Yes but just be careful to pick the right gift voucher for the person... Like don't give a Victoria's Secret voucher to some fat old lady. Seriously, don't. And don't give a Burger Street voucher to a vegetarian.
Yes it is. Just buy them sweets if you are afraid they will reject your other gift, but never give money or vouchers.
